High Sierra will bring huge improvements and growth for the pro apps! But…

There’s a lot at stake here, and this is not an upgrade to be taken lightly do to the new APFS file system. In this blog post I will attempt to cover the bases and list as many apps and add-ons as I am able. This post will be evolving over the next month or two, so keep checking back! I will keep an updated time and date up there with the title so you know if I’ve added anything since you last visited.

Chromatic - Fantastic Color Grading Plugin

Chromatic

Color grading is an often discussed issue for Final Cut Pro X users. Most find the built-in color board sufficient. Some of us miss the science based color wheels. Some want curves like in Photoshop. There have been many color grading templates and plugins created for various grading purposes and levels. There’s even Resolve if you don’t mind the round-tripping.

best in breed if you ask me. For me, this is such a great plugin, and well worth the money.

INTRODUCTION SALE
For the first week you get all five of Coremelt’s LUT collections included with Chromatic (that’s over 150 LUTs, a $99 value by itself) all for only $99.

With us broadcast stations having to conform by law to closed captioning and sound level regulations, it sure would be nice if NLE developers would add good quality versions of those tools to help us out. Fortunately there’s a third party solution to help us conform properly to the CALM Act. This blog post introduces you to the Klangfreund LUFS Full Meter. Read More…
